· Election of Officers
o The following Officers were elected:
§ Jim Shannon MP – Chair and registered contact
§ Emma Hardy MP – Vice-Chair
§ Ruth Jones MP – Officer
§ Sir Peter Bottomley MP – Officer
§ Baroness Masham – Officer
· Appointment of the Secretariat
o Healthcomms Consulting was reappointed as the Secretariat.
· Confirmation of the name and purpose of the group
o The name of the group was re-confirmed as:
§ The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Vascular and Venous Disease
o The purpose statement of the Group was re-confirmed as:
§ To raise awareness of vascular and venous disease and to encourage actions to promote a greater priority for its prevention and treatment; to encourage research into the causes of vascular and venous disease; to advance excellence and innovation in vascular and venous disease and related cardiovascular conditions.
· Income & Expenditure Statement
o The Secretariat read the Income & Expenditure Statement for the Group, which was confirmed by the officers.
o The financial value of grants received by the Secretariat for the previous year was noted as:
§ Value £s in bands of £1,500: 57,001-58,500
· Overview of APPG Activity
o The Secretariat provided an overview of activity performed by the APPG in 2021 and an overview of activity planned for 2022. The Officers supported the proposed activity, and provided suggestions for further matters to address. The Secretariat agreed to carry these proposals forward.
